A Modern Update of the 1958 Explorer
This classic guitar is made from mahogany for the body and neck, with a 1-piece rosewood fretboard, a fixed bridge, comfortable slim neck with rosewood fingerboard, a pair of 496T. This guitar is ready to satisfy any situation you find yourself in. 
Gibson built the Explorer with a solid mahogany body and a very comfortable set mahogany neck (topped with rosewood), so you know you're in for rich tones, great sustain, and outstanding midrange character. The Explorer has set-neck construction and fast-playing neck combine to give you an unbeatable sonic weapon onstage or in the studio. 
Two smoking-hot ceramic humbuckers for hot tones
Historically, Gibson has long been associated with the dark, punchy tone of the humbucking pickup with its fat low end and crunchy, complex midrange. The Explorer carries on that tradition with two scorching-hot humbuckers with ceramic magnets (a 496R in the neck position and a 496T in the bridge position).

Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall and shows only very minor surface scratches and light playwear but is otherwise in excellent shape. The frets are nearly untouched and the truss rod and electronics are all working perfectly.

Body: Offset solid mahogany body in Heritage Cherry finish. Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Black speed knobs. 3-ply white pickguard.
